HCC and its partners received funding from Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) to run Adult Basic Education and English language Programs.
The Adult Basic Education (ABE) program is designed for individuals who were not able to obtain their High School Diploma. Taught by experienced teachers, this course is a pre-requisite for further educational advancement such as Pre-GED and GED. Reading, writing and mathematical skills are enhanced by intensive classroom instruction.
English for Speaker of Other Languages (ESOL) programs provide instruction to students with limited or no English. Taught by experienced teachers, this course is designed to enhance student’s communication skills in everyday living situations. Students from all cultural backgrounds benefit from skilled English instruction.
These programs are FREE to the public.
