Nationally, fewer than 10 percent of schools in the United States have a STEM education focus while an even wider disparity exists in urban schools.
We seek to disrupt this trend and develop a differentiated approach to our STEM program.
This approach enables all students, regardless of their diverse learning styles, to tap into their natural abilities for STEM and generate a STEM identity of their own.
Our interactive and highly engaging programs guide kids through the processes of developing their own games and apps, creating inventions with engineering and design concepts, and establishing critical thinking skills through hands-on science and math/basketball learning activities.
Codesters will create games and apps using languages such as Scratch, Java, HTML, and Processing.
Engineering & Design/MakerSpace
Young engineers will use engineering design methods to solve problems or build an invention. Engineers will learn through tinkering, and be guided by experts in the field.
Hands-on science with science mentors.
NBA Math Hoops
Students will combine a love of basketball with interactive games to build math skills after school.
