About The Summit

A Day to Elevate, Empower, and Build

The Opportunity Summit, powered by Harlem Commonwealth Council, brings together entrepreneurs, families, and community members from across NYC for a day of inspiration, education, and growth.

Attendees will experience:

  • Expert panels & interactive workshops led by community leaders and subject-matter experts

  • 1:1 consultations with the HCC Education Team, HEF, and BSC

  • Marketplace & resource tables showcasing Harlem’s local entrepreneurs

  • Family-friendly activities and networking opportunities

This is more than an event — it’s a movement to build opportunity together.

  • 12:00 PM: Check-in begins; marketplace and food stations open.

  • 12:00 - 5:00 PM: Visit local vendors and resource partners including HEF, BSC, and the Education Team.

  • 12:55–1:15 PM: Welcome and introduction.

  • 1:15–2:00 PM: Explore how to embrace change, adapt with intention, and turn challenges into opportunities.

  • 2:15–3:00 PM: Learn about HEF’s mission, products, and programs that support small business success.

  • 2:15–3:00 PM: Uncover the financial, emotional, and personal costs of success — and how to build a life that truly aligns with your values.

  • 3:15–4:00 PM: Gain insights on how to turn creative ideas into thriving business ventures.

  • 3:15–4:00 PM: Learn what investors look for and how to become funding-ready.

  • 3:15–4:00 PM: Build a strong foundation with HR essentials for small business owners.

  • 4:00–4:45 PM: Learn how to plan your estate and secure your family’s future.

  • 4:00–4:45 PM: Discover how to build your personal and professional brand, define your narrative, and develop your personal style as a leadership tool.

  • 4:00–5:00 PM: Continue exploring and connecting with partners.

  • 5:00 PM: Event closing remarks and acknowledgments.
