The Learning Collective builds connected pathways that link education, career exploration, and skill development from early adolescence through adulthood. With a lifespan approach from middle school to adulthood, HCC builds practical pathways that help people grow skills, confidence, and long-term economic stability.

After School
The HCC After School Program gives young people in Harlem a safe, engaging, and supportive space to build confidence, strengthen academic skills, and explore new interests. Through homework help, literacy and math enrichment, and hands-on STEM, arts, and financial empowerment activities, students get the tools they need to thrive in and out of the classroom.
Next-Gen Leaders
As students advance into high school, HCC deepens engagement through leadership development, career exploration, and early exposure to postsecondary pathways. Students begin connecting their interests — especially in technology, gaming, innovation, the trades, and emerging fields like AI — to real-world applications, entrepreneurship, and future workforce opportunities.
STEAM Champs
An experiential program that immerses middle and high school students in hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math learning. Through AI and robotics challenges and creative problem-solving, students build digital literacy and innovation skills. The program culminates in a global immersion experience in Spain, where students connect creativity, technology, and real-world impact.
Future Forward Summer Internship
A six-week paid internship that equips high school and college students with real-world experience, mentorship, and professional skills — preparing them for careers in business, technology, social impact, and entrepreneurship. The program culminates in a Capstone Showcase of innovation and leadership.
Harlem Wired
AI & Technology programs designed to re-engage opportunity youth by meeting them where they are and reconnecting them to clear pathways forward. Through structured programming, mentorship, and skill-building, HCC supports educational re-entry or completion, workforce readiness, entrepreneurship, and hard skill development.
Adult Learning & Workforce Development
HCC designs signature programs for adults that deliver high-impact, inclusive, and flexible learning experiences. These skill-centered programs meet people where they are and move them forward with purpose — focusing not just on education, but on transformation and building the competencies adults need to move beyond surviving and step confidently into thriving.
